Digital Financial Inclusion

The Miss.Africa Digital a.k.a Fempower Calls for
Digital Financial Inclusion Proposal Writing Competition Award.

We have extended the call for the FemPower Prize Award, which we announced on April 22nd International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in celebrating their 10th Anniversary of #GirlsinICT Day.

The proposal invited women and girls to participate in a call for three pages or less proposal writing competition for Digital Financial Inclusion, promoting under hashtag #SheTechsCharge.

Digital financial inclusion in Africa has been on the highlights lately as a crucial element to help close gender inequality. Since the advent of Covid-19, recent research suggests that digital financial inclusion could narrow these inequalities.

Despite a remarkable growth in financial inclusion rates in Africa, the gender gap remains. Studies have shown how men and women engage in financial services differently in Africa, participants will be required to provide solutions on how to close the Gender Gap in Digital Financial Services.

The proposal writing competition aims to allow an opportunity for women and girls to demonstrate and improve their knowledge and skills in technology, finance, and the gender gap.

The theme of the proposal writing is – Digital Financial Inclusion in Africa: Closing the Gender Gap in Financial Services in Africa.

Award: 1st prize: $500.
Deadline for entry: 31st July 2021. Click below to apply.
