Happy #MadarakaDay Celebrations from DotConnectAfrica.

Today, Kenya makes a colorful 54th History!

As every Kenyan around the country gathers to commemorate the 54th Madaraka day celebrations,  DotConnectAfrica Trust takes pride in being among the top building blocks of the technological and economic developments of this great nation.  As we reflect and take stock of the long and grueling journey made to build the present day Kenya, we as well take a  moment to recognize and appreciate  the heroes who fought tirelessly paying the ultimate price to deliver our Country from colonial rule.

Indeed, history records this day as the beginning of the Kenyan journey to sovereignty and independence. And after 54 years, the results are visible inall sectors of digital innovations, social developments as well as the economic steps that the country has taken .

DCA acknowledges and shares all the efforts of the founders of Kenya, who are also  founding fathers of a united Africa.

Last week on May 25th, during the commemoration of the annual Africa Day, our Pan-African trust program at DotConnectAfrica (DCA) announced the 2016/17 winners of the Miss.Africa Seed Funding for STEM Programs. Nigeria’s AboCoders won the USD 5000 Grand Seed Fund Prize while Ethiopia’s Bahir Dar University STEM Center and Zambia’s Ubongo Game Lab, were selected as the winners of the USD 1000 Geographic/Country Category.

Such technological milestones and hard work can only translate to improved standards of living if we all thrive in a peaceful and secure  environment.

We at DotConnectAfrica Trust wish all Kenyans a Happy Madaraka Day!
