Remembering and Celebrating all Women Engineers Changing the World

International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is an annual campaign that promotes women in engineering and showcases the exciting career prospects available to girls in the industry.

Launched in 2014 by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) in the UK, it has since gained international recognition, receiving UNESCO patronage in 2016.

INWED encourages various groups, including governments, educational institutions, corporations, professional engineering bodies, and individuals, to organize their own events and join the global celebration.

This year’s International Women in Engineering Day happened on June 23rd.
