I am almost certain that you hear the phrase #accountability and #transparency quite often, and especially now that the systems and organizations gear more toward efficiency and ethics.
‘Accountability’ remains to be one trending word globally, looking at recent accountability meltdowns at FIFA, Volkswagen, Carnegie Hall board, ICANN, WIPO.
Close to home, #DCATrust became the prevailing party in July 10 2015 after the IRP Panel ruling that concluded over a year and a half of review, on the .Africa domain application. The Panel ruled that #ICANN had indeed erred it not following its own bylaws. This also occurs at a time time when the multistakeholder community at ICANN is looking to create a model that will fit into the specification of the NTIA in order to test if ICANN could become and independent organization, but will that happen?
