Today is Africa Day and DotConnectAfrica (DCA) Hails Africa!
DCA and all Africans on the Continent and the Diaspora join together to celebrate the big strides this great continent has made. It is indeed exciting and encouraging to see the level of innovations and craftsmanship that we have been producing since 1963.
This day presents to us a unique opportunity to reconnect and recommit ourselves in support of all stakeholder interventions to develop a better Africa.
From social developments, to economic and finally technological innovations, we have indeed made strides. The continent has evolved and we, its people, have played a great role in its development. It is up to us to maintain this development by uniting together from the North, South, Central, East and West of Africa.
DCA acknowledges and shares all the efforts of the Founders of the African Union and all the freedom fighters of this great continent that makes it what it is today.
On this Africa day, May 25th, during the commemoration of the annual Africa Day, a celebration of the Continent and its people, we the Pan-African trust program of DotConnectAfrica (DCA) have announced the 2016/17 winners of the Miss.Africa Seed Funding for STEM Programs. Nigeria’s AboCoders won the USD 5000 Grand Seed Fund Prize while Ethiopia’s Bahir Dar University STEM Center and Zambia’s Ubongo Game Lab, were selected as the winners of the USD 1000 Geographic/Country Category.
In celebration of the Africa day, we hope the continent will continue this trajectory, inspiring others to contribute to our continent’s creative future.
DotConnectAfrica Trust unites in wishing every African a Happy Africa Day.
