1.Give us a general experience with Miss.Africa sponsored, eMobilis training basing a bias on women in tech in Kenya & how your digital skills were enhanced.

The experiences with both Miss. Africa and eMobilis institute was awesome; it is a great initiative that Miss. Africa has put in place to empower us ladies in technology.

Being passionate about how technology evolves each day and how the current world is being ruled with Mobile apps, it was a great opportunity for me as a young lady to be equipped with knowledge in Mobile App Development and now I can use the knowledge gained to develop an App that will change the world.

2. How the Miss.Africa sponsored, eMobilis Training enhanced your perceptions of the involvement of Women in Technology?

It was a great exposure to understand how Technology is interesting, got to learn this by interacting with ladies of brilliant and excellent ideas and minds in the academy, this enabled me to see the full potential Women have in technology as a talented cohort that is yet to be tapped.

3. Give us a professional instance during the training that remains a landmark in your career profession

Being able to learn and develop a Mobile App by myself was a great achievement ever, thanks to eMobilis institute in partnership with Miss. Africa for that golden opportunity they gave me to be great.

4. Outline your take on the future of women technology in Africa/Globally? And a message to other girls who would want to venture into ICT Careers.

With the great potential and empowerment we’ve got, I believe the future of women in technology will be brighter; we only need to reboot our mindset as ladies and venture more into the Technology careers.

To my fellow ladies who want to venture in ICT careers, please do come and join us, it’s a great field to venture into and there are great opportunities out here so don’t hesitate, let’s make the world a better place with more Women in Tech.

Miss.Africa Voices is a regular online journal that presents women in tech experiences, opinions and observations. These stories come from DotConnectAfrica Internship Alumni and other Women who are leading the tech-preneurship fronts in their own ecosystems. The Miss.Africa Voices also serves to encourage more girls & women to get involved in STEM careers through our Miss.Africa Digital Program.
