Ms.  Agnes Talai spoke to Miss.Africa Voices about how her mobile App training experience at Miss.Africa Digital changed her life.  She was among the top 3 women who’s Apps won the Mobile App Training. She says

I have always believed people who can write and read code control the world. It is a fundamental skill in today’s digital world.

When this opportunity from DotConnectAfrica’s Trust, Miss.Africa Digital Seed Funding came knocking at my door in 2016, I seized the chance. I had the opportunity to build upon android and web development, skills I had been exposed to in campus. Problem solving, creativity, teamwork, logic and entrepreneurship are just a few beneficial skills I got exposed to during the training.

I currently work in the compliance industry and I highly attribute my productivity to the above. I am grateful to DotConnectAfrica’s Trust, Miss.Africa Digital not only for the training but also for ensuring women stay ahead of the curve.

Let us take advantage of any opportunity available to learn something new, especially when it comes to programming. It is the skill of today and the future”

Miss.Africa Voices is a regular online journal that presents women in tech experiences, opinions and observations. These stories come from DotConnectAfrica Internship Alumni and other Women who are leading the tech-preneurship fronts in their own ecosystems.
